When skin cancer screening makes sense

Statistically speaking, around one in five people will develop skin cancer or one of its precursors in the course of their lives. Regular skin checks are particularly advisable if you have a lot of sun exposure, fair skin, a family history or many moles. Anyone who notices changes to existing skin lesions should also not hesitate. Irregular edges, dark or asymmetrical spots or long-lasting changes can be warning signs.

How we treat skin changes

Photodynamic therapy (PDT)

For actinic keratoses or early-detected forms of skin cancer, e.g. basal cell carcinomas. Gentle, precise and can be carried out on an outpatient basis. Click here to find out more about "Photodynamic therapy".

Surgical removal

In the case of abnormal findings, treatment is carried out in our practice on an outpatient basis under local anesthesia or, if necessary, under anesthesia by our anesthesia team - depending on the individual requirements.

Long-term follow-up

In the case of unclear or borderline skin changes, close documentation is carried out using digital and standardized images.
