When do outpatient operations make sense?

Outpatient surgery is necessary when skin changes or tumors need to be removed – either for medical or aesthetic reasons. Surgery may also be necessary in the case of disturbing or inflammatory changes (e.g. ingrown nails, sebaceous glands or lipomas).
