Horn tip removal
Small, wart-like skin lesions on the penis

Horny spots (hirsuties papillaris penis, hirsuties papillaris coronae glandis) are harmless and non-contagious skin lesions and occur in whitish, skin-colored or reddish coloration. They are arranged in rows and develop on the glans margin of the penis and may extend to the foreskin frenulum. In rare cases, women may also develop cornicles on the vagina (vulva).

The small elevations are not the cause of a sex or skin disease; they are hereditary. Since they can vary in shape, number and color, it makes sense to have them examined by a dermatologist to rule out the possibility that they are not similar-looking symptoms of a disease. Laymen often confuse them with the contagious genital warts (condylomas).

Many patients feel that their sexual life is impaired by the horny tips. Even new partners do not want to have to explain what the skin changes are. Shame, low self-esteem and fear of sexual contact are reported by those affected.

With a combination of laser and radiofrequency therapy, it is possible to remove the well perfused, cone-shaped hornicles within a few minutes, almost painlessly and permanently. The horn tips are sclerosed with the laser in a targeted and gentle manner. In addition, there is neither scarring nor sensory disturbances. After the treatment, you can return to your normal activities.
