PRP (PLATELET RICH PLASMA) OR “VAMPIRE LIFTING”.

Treatment with PRP blood plasma is one of the minimally invasive therapies. This procedure has rapidly gained popularity in recent years, initially it was very popular with many Hollywood stars. Other terms for it are autologous blood treatment, plasma lifting or PRP (platelet-rich plasma) treatment. The main focus is on the purely natural regeneration of the skin. For this purpose, platelet-rich plasma is obtained from the patient’s own blood. The blood plasma also contains so-called growth factors and regenerating proteins. These stimulate the skin’s own regeneration, blood circulation and the production of collagen. We inject the prepared plasma into the skin with the finest needles. As a result, the skin structure tightens, it becomes visibly smoother and firmer.

PRP plasma therapy is suitable for smoothing fine wrinkles as well as for treating stretch marks or scars, such as acne scars.

At Dermatologie am Sendlinger Tor, we also use this procedure to stimulate hair growth in cases of hair loss. Hair loss can thus not only be stopped, but the hair that grows back also acquires a stronger structure.

FOR WHOM IS THIS PROCEDURE SUITABLE?

PRP plasma treatment is suitable for all age groups. The focus here is not only on the immediate smoothing of wrinkles, but on a fundamental regeneration of the skin structure and an improvement of the overall skin appearance. Since we use natural blood plasma (obtained from the patient’s own blood), there is no risk of intolerance. The method is optimal for patients prone to allergies and with very sensitive skin.

The results of the treatment at a glance:

Improvement of the skin structure
Scar therapy
Hair loss
Wrinkle smoothing and volume building (e.g. in the area of the cheeks)
Tightening of the skin in the face and neck area
Smoothing of the skin on the back of the hands and other areas
Reduction of wrinkles on the décolleté
Reduction of stretch marks and stretch marks

EFFECT

The collected autologous blood is processed in a centrifuge. In this way, a plasma is created that is particularly rich in platelets, proteins (proteins) and growth factors. These substances stimulate the regeneration of skin cells and the production of collagen in the skin. The concentrated plasma is applied directly after preparation. Either by microneedling or injections.

As a result of the application into the skin, the connective tissue cells are activated – they then produce more elastin and collagen. The synthesis of the skin’s own hyaluronic acid also increases, so the skin binds more moisture and becomes smoother. Another positive effect is the improved blood circulation: the skin appears significantly more vital and fresh.

WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS

Depending on the intensity and number of sessions, the treatment unfolds its effects in the weeks following the application. On average, the full effect is achieved after several weeks. The effects last for about 12 to 18 months.

When treating increased hair loss, it may take several weeks after the first application before you notice the first effects. These show in a decrease in hair loss and increased hair regrowth. The hair structure becomes noticeably stronger. Several applications are recommended. We will be happy to advise you individually.

ADVANTAGES

You can resume your everyday activities immediately, or after 2 to 3 days, without any restrictions. Another advantage is the long-lasting success of the treatment. This effect can be further extended by combining it with other aesthetic and cosmetic applications (for example, hyaluron filler, Botox, Ultherapy or Zaffiro).

The advantages at a glance:

No incompatibilities due to the use of the body’s own active ingredients.
Outpatient and minimally invasive procedure.
Natural rejuvenation, with an improvement in the overall skin structure.
Fit for social life again after one to three days.

WHAT SIDE EFFECTS CAN BE EXPECTED?

The treatment is very tolerable due to the use of natural and endogenous substances. Since no synthetic substances are injected, allergies and intolerances are excluded. Mild to moderate swelling, redness or bruising may occur in connection with the punctures. These depend on the individual skin sensitivity and rarely last longer than a few days.
