Herpotherm®: With heat against herpes (cold sores)
Herpes is a disease that affects a great many people time and again. The reason is that it is triggered by viruses that settle in the nerve cells. First, the protective cap is removed and the ceramic surface is held on the affected area. Then, pressing the button, the surface heats up to 51°C for a period of three seconds. Usually, symptom relief is felt immediately. Otherwise, the treatment can be repeated after a break of at least ten seconds.

The brief heating also triggers a number of physiological processes that lead to attenuation or even complete cessation of the inflammation.
